Don Julio 1942 – The Icon of Ultra-Premium Tequila

$150.00 $120.00

Don Julio 1942 is an celebrated, ultra-premium Tequila Añejo that has become a global symbol of luxury and celebration. Produced in small batches at the La Primavera distillery in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, this specific expression was created to pay tribute to the year Don Julio González began his tequila-making journey at the age of 17. It is widely regarded as one of the smoothest and most prestigious spirits in the world, frequently seen at high-end events and luxury celebrations.
The quality of 1942 begins with the selection of the finest 100% Blue Weber Agave, which is hand-selected and allowed to grow for seven to ten years before harvest. Unlike mass-produced spirits, the agave hearts (piñas) are slow-roasted in traditional masonry ovens for several days. This slow process unlocks the natural sugars and creates a rich, complex base. The spirit is then aged for a minimum of two and a half years in American white oak barrels, though its complexity often makes it taste much older.
